Industrialist, avid angler, and philanthropist James William Bokor, Sr., of Tavernier, Florida, has passed away at Mariners Hospital on November 9, 2020 at the age of 78.

Jim was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on January 11, 1942 to his mother Blanche and his father, also named James, followed by his younger brother, Arthur. In 1961 at the age of 19, Jim married his wife of 59 years Maryann Glidden in Edison, New Jersey.

In 1972, after moving to Buffalo, New York, Jim along with his brother-in-law Robert D. Glidden, Jr., started their stainless steel pipe and sanitary fittings distribution business Robert-James Sales, Inc.

Jim also supported the fishing tournament community through avid sponsorship with Robert-Jame Sales, and organized the further tournaments such as the Redbone, Grand Slam, and the Spring All-Tackle, raising money for cystric fibrosis and other charities.
