John Joseph DeMelo Sr

John Joseph DeMelo Sr., 69, of Tavernier, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. 

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, John was the son of the late Paul DeMelo and Marjorie (Paliotta) DeMelo, and brother of the late Ann Marie (DeMelo) Pursche and the late Paula DeMelo. John is survived by his 2 children Stephanie DeMelo and John DeMelo Jr., his ex wife Cheryl DeMelo of Johnston Rhode Island, his sister Marjorie (DeMelo) Darragh of Tamarac, Florida and his companion Janet Ciccarelli of Tavernier, Florida. John was also very close with several of his cousins.

John worked in the automobile industry for over 20 years. John was an avid boater and was his happiest when he was on the water. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. 

Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and services will be private.
