Morris Arakelian, age 95, a lifelong resident of Billerica, MA, passed away on March 4, 2017 in Key Largo, FL. He graduated from Howe High School, and went on to operate his own businesses: Arakelian & Jones Excavating, Inc. and Concord Shores Lounge in Billerica, MA.
Morris was a 50-year member of the Masons.
He was predeceased by his sisters: Sally Markarian, Josephine Bazarian, Sue Keosayian, Veronica Jones, Esther Noble; and brother Walter Arakelian.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Alice L. (Gile) Arakelian; 4 Children: Lee (Arakelian) and Richard Marzilli of Lexington, Massachusetts; Martha (Arakelian) and John Re of Newport, Vermont; Penny (Arakelian) and Harry Cooke of Jensen Beach, Florida; and Polly Arakelian of Methuen, Massachusetts; 8 Grandchildren; 13 Greatgrandchildren; and his Maltese pal “Poochie”.
Morris was loving and loyal, easy going, generous, always on the go, a self-taught musician, and had a great sense of humor.
A Memorial Service to be held in the spring on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 12:00 noon, at St. Vartanantz Armenian Church, Chelmsford, MA. Luncheon immediately following.
