The beautiful and courageous story of Teresa A LaRusso Cook Hartnett (Terri)
begins January 1, 1950 born and raised in Angola, NY to Vincent and Bessie
LaRusso and older brother Michael LaRusso, surrounded by loving Aunts,
Uncles, and many cousins. In 1987 Terri fell in love with the warmth and
sunshine of Florida and decided to raise her own family in Vero Beach, Fl.
Terri has touched many during her life’s journey some of which have departed
before her, like her husband, Cecil Walker, and some others she has preceded
like her unwavering husband, Michael Hartnett. Terri and Mike grew a love many
never have the honor of experiencing, a true fairytale. They spent 12 wonderful
years riding Harley’s and traveling the countryside in their RV.
Terri is also proceeded by her loving brother, Michael LaRusso and her three
children, her proudest contribution to this world, Brian, Michael and Nicole
Cook,and her husband Michael's two sons, Gabrial and Jeremy
Terri's admirable children will continue on with her legacy, a zest for life, open
heart, strength, and compassion for those around them. Brian and wife, Jamie,
are expecting Terri’s first grandson and will pass these values to him.
Terri’s last physical day with us was January 22, 2017 after a lionhearted battle
with pancreatic cancer, but her spirit will carry on forever. Her many friends and
family will celebrate her until their last days, and will continue to be reminded of
her simple beauty with every butterfly seen.
