Thor Dunmire

Thor Dunmire, 47, passed away on August 29th at his home in Tavernier. He was a devoted husband to Leda and father to Clio (4) and Odin (3). His mother, Lea Dunmire, of Titusville, FL; brother, Erik Dunmire of Mill Valley, CA; sister, Krista Snyder of Delran, NJ; and grandmother, Mona Pepper of Titusville, FL, will remember Thor as a quiet, kind, generous, and loving person. A Navy diver, EMT, and boat captain, Thor’s marine career spanned the globe from Big Pine Key to Antarctica and the Pacific Ocean. He loved running, swimming, creating art, and most recently, playing with his children. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund in Thor’s name for his children’s education at Centennial Bank, PO Box 949, Islamorada, FL 33036.
