William Bloodworth

January 20, 1957 — March 3, 2022

William Jeffrey Bloodworth passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022, after losing a multi-year battle with cancer.  “Jeff” was born in Concord, North Carolina and later served in the Navy.  After his service he would work as a residential developer in Georgia before he moved to Islamorada in the Florida Keys to follow his passion for fishing.  His favorite fish was the bonefish and in 2007, Jeff was awarded Grand Champion in the coveted All Tackle Spring Bonefish Tournament.  Eventually Jeff would make the transition from customer to captain and became a licensed fishing guide in Islamorada; delighting his customers with an indescribable sense of humor and overall relaxed vibe that he was well known for.  Off the water, Jeff was an avid golfer and famous for pulling off incredible shots out of the most challenging of situations.  If he wasn’t on the water or on the golf course, you could find Jeff at the beach with his girlfriend Julie and his two pups, Bella and Bailey, sitting on a beach chair watching the waves break on the shore.  His practical jokes and kind-heartedness will forever be a lasting memory to all who knew him.
