Roger Dieckhaus

Roger Charles Dieckhaus, 71, of Key Largo, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness.

He is predeceased by his parents Sfc Robert Dieckhaus and Betty Dieckhaus. Roger was born in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was raised and educated, living there until later in life moving to Florida.

He previously had worked for a movie theater, a bank and helped reach veterans service records for them to be able to receive benefits from the Government. Roger was a longtime Chaplain for the military. Many of his various ministries included “TLC” tender loving care truck stop ministry, where he was assistant pastor for 10-12 years. A Prison ministry, store front church in St. Louis, MO.

He was a Chaplain of Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, various veteran groups, various biker groups, studied with rabbis at the St. Louis Temple. He was an evangelist to other nations, Israel, Bosnia, Croatia, Japan and helped at various homeless shelters.

Some of the missions that he was particularly proud of were when he walked with the warriors with the Navajo, Apache, Marine Recon to Washington, DC, Operation Bank with the Green Beret’s to the North Carolina Coast, He was made an honorary member of the special forces Green Beret’s.

Roger also helped counsel some of the Israel Army, held a radio ministry, hospital visitation ministry, Facebook ministry & his illness ministry.

He is survived by a daughter Christine Enck, Grandsons; Dylan & Collin, Brother Dennis, half-brothers Steve and Michael, friends Len Berkel, Bonnie Springer, Tony Mirto and many other friends and service members that he helped over his many years.

Roger was loved and loved so many, He will be greatly missed but his teachings, testimony, and love for God will live on.

A Celebration of Rogers Life will be held on December 10, 2022, from 3-5p at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home.
